An excellent question! Palin has said that she is opposed to s*x education in school which, of course, puts the burden squarely on her. But we don't really know if the daughter's pregnancy was inadvertent or intended. If she couldn't stand her parents and wanted to get the h**l out of the house, getting knocked up may have been the solution. At worst, she can move in with her bf's parents.

The sister of a girl I knew did exactly that, at age 14, to get away from her domineering father.
