  1. Yes, she did mock community organizers...all of them. Here's what David Plouffe has to say about community organizers:

"Community organizing is how ordinary people respond to out-of-touch politicians and their failed policies....Throughout our history, ordinary people have made good on America's promise by organizing for change from the bottom up. Community organizing is the foundation of the civil rights movement, the women's suffrage movement, labor rights, and the 40-hour workweek."

  2. They didn't have any 'responsibilities' because their 'community organization' wasn't a real job. There is no responsibility, just an ardent desire to help.

So she's right. Regardless of how effective a community organizer is, it's not a responsibility.

  3. Obama does not yet deserve to be mentioned with the “community” leaders you mentioned and I would add that those you mentioned ended up being light years beyond the level of community leader that the Republican’s were making fun of Obama as being.   Those people’s actions effected the world wide community, which neither McCain nor Obama has done yet.

With that said, I have to agree with mark_in_.  It is very telling that the Republican’s thought it was funny that Obama helped his community, the little guys, before going off to be part of big politics.  I think it was a major slip up on their part, considering one of their new mantras for this election is that the Republicans are looking out for the little guy.  How can you look out for me when you think a guy who took time to gain experience helping people like me out is worth laughing at?   I get the gist that they were trying to say it was not executive level experience, but the entire RNC assembly laughing at it was unnecessary and disrespectful and a bit of Freudian slip on their part.

  4. no because all of those actually accomplished something. I am from Obama'a state and most of his work ended in abject failure.

  5. She's so arrogant that she probably would (or has).

She needs to return to whatever igloo she crawled out of.

  6. she was not mocking community organizers.

she was mocking the comment that the dems made that said she was only the "mayor of a small town."  she was mocking their comparison, not the job of community organizer.

  7. You must be Kidding,

  8. Is Obama seriously on the same level as those folks who actually ACCOMPLISHED something?

You're being quite generous, aren't you?

  9. she did not mock any of them did she. nor did either of them run for president of this great country.

  10. She speaks without thinking.

    That statement screwed her.

  11. No, because unlike those community organizers who actually ACCOMPLISHED something, Obama has accomplished NOTHING!

  12. are you trying to say Obama has done anything even close to the work those people did?

I know you Obama supporters are not very bright but you have to know he does not compare to any of the people you listed

  13. Given the chance she might.

  14. What do you mean "would?" She did!

  15. Sarah Palin would suck a golfball through a garden hose right now if that's what Republicans asked her to.  She's their cute lil MILF puppet.

But that being said...the question is a hypothetical blackhole.  An obvious answer but never could be entirely sure what the she would do.

So in short: If she was asked to by Republican strategist to , yes she most likely would mock the h**l out of them.

  16. Palin did not mock the community organizersrs just one who didn't understand that a mayor has more responsibilityty to voters than a community organizer.

  17. You are comparing the paper boy to William Randolf Hearst.

  18. She hasn't felt mocking yet. Just wait till the new season of SNL starts.

  19. I don't know but I will mock Susan B Anthony and Cesar Chavez myself...

  20. Did anyone hear Palin mock anyone? I didn't. I did hear her say that the Mayors job had more responsibilities.

  21. Sarah Palin would mock anyone that she was coached to, or read on the Teleprompter.

In all seriousness, no she wouldn't.  But she's playing to a select audience who probably have never heard of community organizers before, let alone know what one does.  So the people Palin and the Repubs are targeting their speech towards most likely don't even know those people were community organizers.

  22. They have actually done something besides talk and talk.

  23. I was outraged when Giuliani started laughing that Obama worked on community projects and did community service.

I didn't realize how much republicans hate communities.. and service..

  24. It's tough to say since we aren't in her head (although the first poster must think she is).  One thing is for sure about the people you mentioned, none of them tried to run for the Presidency of a nation of 308 million people using that as a plank in their platform.

  25. He is no Susan B. Anthony.

Obama's role as "community organizer" was to ingratiate himself to the poor on Chicago's south side. And to profit (politically and personally) in the process. Nothing more.^

  26. I'd like to point out that SENATOR Obama is no longer a 'community organizer'.  He's a SENATOR who was elected to his position and happened to be a community organizer about 20 years ago.

If you had worked at Wal-mart 20 years ago out of school would it be fair to go after you saying you're still JUST a Wal-mart employee with no experience?

Palin is a great actress and can read a teleprompter.  Big Whoop!

She and her party might want to get their facts straight before dispensing lies and half truths to Americans.

  27. Honestly, no they had no executive experience at all.

Even though they all deserve our utmost respect.  As does Obama.

  28. Too bad she doesn't have anything positive to offer.  To say Obama did nothing as a community organizer just shows how desperate she is.  The importance of community organizers shouldn't be diminished.

  29. Obama couldn't stay in the same room as the people you mention. In Chicago the roll of community organizer is to get votes for the Daley machine. That is it.

  30. She would if it means winning the election.

You have to remember that these people don't care about the poor or the jobless because they are rich and they don't have to worry about it. Their aim and goal is going to be the same as Bush's aim and goal, and that's to make themselves and their cronies richer.

Republicans, vote for them if you like, but please I do not want to hear you whining or crying or saying "I wish I hadn't voted for them" two years from now when your *** is living out of a cardboard box.

  31. No she wouldn't. The above were not empty coats.  She called an "ace an ace" and put it right to Biden and Obama.
