Just curious since I'm gonna get one eventually, do you think it would run it on max settings or something?

  1. Definitely, the macbook pro is a very powerful machine and will run most games at full settings.

  2. Most probably 'yes'.

The MacBook Pro is a very technologically advanced protocal which should run most games like these; excluding Crysis, Halo 3, or Cod4.

You can handle it on High Graphics, though I would recommend putting 'Auto-Scaler' off and lower the 'Fade-Distance'.

But when the Expansion Packs arrive, and you are planning on buying them, then prepare to lower the settings of the graphics.

When more come out (about 3 more), then I would no longer recommend using the Macbook for them all.

This, because you need to consider that the Macbook is still a Laptop, or Notebook. No matter what note-bk or laptop you will be using, it can't run The Sims 3 with all expansions, atleast not at a decent speed.

I say you buy a desktop instead, even a less expensive one will run it WITH the expansion packs, even on higher quality.

Anyway, if you want more information on The Sims 3, then visit my fansite!

  3. Yea, the MacBook Pro would handle the Sims 3 with no problems whatsoever. All MacBook Pros have a pretty good video graphics card. So, you shouldn't run into any problems with running that game on Max settings.
