  1. i have a TW but he is not gaited. That means he can jump and trot. So if the TW was gaited no he would not be able to do hunter shows. They are judged on form and conformation and even if a gaited horse could jump the rider wouldn't pin because if would be flowing and correct like a hunter should. So in the end it would not be worth if the take a gaited horse to a hunter/jumper show

  2. Yea any breed can do anything if you teach it too. and trian it

  3. dont listen to some of these answers.. gaited horses can and do jump just as well as any other breed! a gaited walking horse will not place in hunter on the flat classes or english pleasure (hunter type) because they do not trot, but hunter and jumper are two different divisions. you could place in jumping as long as your horse actually clears the jumps... it doesnt matter what he does in between as long as the bars stay up. now, if you take a gaited horse to a jumping show be warned... people are going to look at you like you're from another planet and have 6 arms or something! gaited horses are not generally seen in the jumper division. be prepared for some nasty remarks from other riders

  4. for jumper shows?

    yeah i guess

  5. TWH ROXX!!!

    I own and love one!!!

Heck yea they can jump, I jump my 13 year old mare ALL THE TIME. It took A TON of work to get her to jump and not just speed up her canter and step each foot over.....LOL she really did that.

Its really fun, I would not show her in a jumping class but I would show her in a english pleasure class. From what I know some (alot) of people who own and ride BEH (Big Expensive Horses) are BIS (Brats In Saddles). They also jump 90% of the time. I once rode at a BIG A## show barn and man did it suck!!! I loved the horses they were BEH and you could tell, but 90% of the time just becuse I did not own the horse I rode I got all the c**p from the people who did. People who owned $100,000++++ horses and loved to smack it in my face. I knew I could not afford that kind of horse so it was a kick in the gut... So just watch out for the BIS and MAKE THEM EAT YOUR DUST!!!

    YEE-HAWWW

Lol- Im form Kentucky I can say that!!!!!
