  1. just think Forest Gump.

    RUN Usain RUN!!!!!!!

  2. i dont think so, only because he is 6'5, and may not have the lateral quickness needed. he cud be a ridiculous reciever if he has hands

  3. Yes if he enjoys playing and can take a hit but obviously he likes track.

  4. Bolt lives up to his namesake ... he is incredibly fast.  However, speed alone does not make a good RB.

Bolt's experience is on a solid track surface without being chased or having to maneuver around anyone in his way.  In other words, his agility is unknown.  Also, Bolt may not be used to the severe physical impact that linebackers and defensive linemen would lay into him.  Add to that the gear he would have to wear, which is something he is not used to and would slow him down considerably.

Bolt doesn't appear to have any football experience, especially in handling the rock on the run or if thrown.  Bolt would need to learn routes and be able to read defenses while avoiding any tackles and/or losses.  I am not questioning his intelligence, just saying that there is more to the sport than just being fast.  Speed is crucial, but it is not the end-all, be-all factor in the sport.

At this point, Bolt would NOT be a good RB.

Side note:  If Usian Bolt did get picked up by the NFL, I think it would be appropriate for the San DIego Chargers to get him (Bolt plays for the Bolts).

  5. no,his legs are too skinny and he's not as strong as lets say...LT..he'll make a much better receiver if he could catch..He's 6' 5'' and fast as h**l..In football you hardly ever run in a straight line...

  6. No way he has a sprinter's body. He couldnt take hits well enough. And it takes years of hard work and dedication to be a professional in anything and its just not there.

  7. He wouldn't make it as an NFL RB. He would do better as a WR if he can catch a ball at all. But if he runs down the middle and takes a hit from a safety it is over. You have to remember he hasn't ever taken a hit from anyone before.

  8. He would get crushed the first time he touch the ball.

He can only run a straight line!!No way he can play football.

  9. with all the grandstanding he was doing, i thought he already did.

  10. I agree with KingJames. At 6'-5" with his speed, he'd be an outstanding deep threat wide reciever.... That is, if he has the hands.

  11. no he would never make it.

  12. no because he probably couldnt take a hit but i'd hire him to be a return man

  13. NFL RBs generally require some amount of power behind them, even if they are a scat back.  With the size, strength and speed of linemen and LBs in the NFL, a man of his build would be constantly injured trying to run in the middle of the field.  If he were to play in the NFL, it would be as a WR, where heavy contact would be minimal and his amazing speed would be put to the best use.

  14. nope too small he gets hit once by some hard hitting safety and its all over maybe reciever tho he would burn any corner

  15. no, he would get torn in half by the lineman and linebackers. were he would be extremly effective is as a reciever, if he can catch a football he will break every record ever set they will need to play the saftey so deep that there is only gonna be one safety in play when they pass to him. he ran a 40 yard dash 1/2 faster than any football player has ran it on record.

  16. If he can play then yea

  17. I don't konw.

He has the speed but does he have the toughness and hands for the nfl? thats what we would need to know.

  18. At 6'5" he would get his head taken off the first time he ran straight up.

  19.   At 6'5" tall Mr. Bolt would not last through 1 training camp.  he would be an easy target for defenders and would have plenty to hit.
