There is a petition that is going around voicing legitimate concerns about Stephenie Meyer's "Breaking Dawn" and it is calling for her to answer those concerns. What do you think about this? Would you sign this petition?

  1. No thanks.  I disagree with much that the petition states.

  2. no way. tha'ts absurd.  you didn't like the book... get over it... i've read tons of books... i didn't like them all... i didn't petition the author about it... it's a teenage/young adult series about vampires and werewolves... gimmie a break!!!!

  3. I don't know how to break this to you, but books aren't like American Idol. You don't get to text your vote in for how you want them to turn out.

Isn't this what fanfic is for?

  4. Yep, I signed it last week. I agree with most of the things that are stated, so I signed it, and I emailed it to my friends.

  5. No, I will not sign it, because I LIKED the book.

And besides, its HER book, not the fans'. She can write HER story any way SHE wants.

So, people, just get over it.

  6. I signed it but was disturbed at how hateful everyone is being.

For god's sake, she's a human being. You dont say that to a human. Heck, you dont say that to a dog.

I left a "nice" in comparison comment... and signed it.

  7. Yeah, I already signed it. When I signed it, it only had like a little over 300 signatures, the last time I checked, earlier today, it had over 1000 signatures. And It's barely been a week since I did it.

  8. I am sorry but that is pathetic!

People can't expect a book to turn out exactly how they want it too! If they did, they should have wrote it themselves. We do not know what the author is thinking throughout the writing and publishing of the book. If we did then there would be no need for a book at all.

Stephenie Meyer obviously had an idea of what she was going to write before she wrote it and is happy with the outcome. How many people can honestly say that they would have been pleased if the Volturi fight had gone ahead and she had killed some main characters off? Not many.

If you don't like the book, deal with it. What are you expecting the petition to do? Make Stephenie Meyer re-write the book? Make stores re-call the book, 'Oh, nobody likes it so we'll stop selling it.'

People always saying the book is a disappointment, and pointing out all the faults is ruining it for the people who actually like the book. There isn't any need for a petition in my eyes. I personally love the books and yes, I have my negative opinions but this is taking it a bit too far.

This is my opinion and if I offended anyone, I am truly sorry.

  9. i dont see what signing the petition would do even if i didnt like the book
