Would You Be Willing To Plant 20 Trees Per Year?

Trees, afterall are the most efficient CO2 and pollutant scrubbers known on earth.

There's still no data showing consistent attribution of warming to CO2, it's pointing to the reverse (CO2 is caused by warming which is caused by other forces). Nevertheless, trees are beautiful, make clean O2, clean other pollutants out of the air. There's also no data showing that CO2 removal will cool the earth, and Global Warming scientists state that it's an unstoppable phenomenon.

But, planting trees will make everyone feel good. Let's make it a law. What do you think?

  1. Actually grassland is the greatest CO2 sink.  Trees work better in urban environments because they can canopy over buildings and artificial surfaces.  There is nothing wrong with planting trees.

  2. Sounds like a very good idea.

  3. Yes i agree i would every year with my taxes, id donate money for someone else to do it for me. I love plants and have about 30-40 in my home alone, mostly vines that drape across my ceiling. But i have 5 kids and no time to tend to it all the time. However a greenhouse LAW should be made. I agree, keep going with this i am beside you!

  4. i plant far more than that anyway

  5. That's an excellent idea, but it's a tad idealist.  We don't have more trees because we've cut them down to make room for freeways, industrial plants, houses, etc.  Maybe more like everyone plant one tree a year and actually take care of it.  Maybe one tree per household.

The real problem is the increase in consumption.  The US takes in way more than it produces - hence the huge national debt.  We demand luxury.  We should perhaps try to conserve other resources, too, like energy (neon lights in businesses) and water (half hour showers, etc).  Of course, a simple solution would be to STOP the huge population explosion, which is actually quite ridiculous.  Sigh.

    But still, you're absolutely right.
