Would You Give to the Bill Gates Foundation, He is Very Successful at Making Money and Giving it Away?

Since Bill Gates is the richest man in the world and he has now retired as the President and CEO of Microsoft and is devoting his time to giving his money away, wouldn't it make sense to give money to the a successful man's foundation, who is not trying to make anymore money. He says "I virtually have an infinite amount of money for my needs".

Another one of the world's richest men, Warren Buffet is turning toward charity at this point in his life too and he is entrusting his money to Bill Gates, because Bill Gates doesn't need it for himself and is "giving it all away".

It depends, is Bill Gates just gonna throw away the money for himself or is he gonna give it to a cause?

It depends.  I'm not sure exactly what the Bill Gates Foundation does, do they give away money to those in need or do they help stop the problem at the root, the problem that created the need.    I would donate to a foundation that gives both.  A foundation that helps those currently in need and also has a good plan to fix the problems at the source.  How much money the founders have is not relevant to me.
