Would You Rather go for AFL or Rugby League or Soccer?

Im Indonesian - Dutch - Aussie, i love soccer and a Chelsea FC fan

lots of aussies like AFL(aussie rules) and footy(rugby league) better than soccer

can u give me the reason why?

Well, you are asking this in the AFL section, so I'm guessing that's what most of your answers will be. I love AFL, because of it's pace, high scores and excitement. Second I would go with Soccer, because I love playing it, and I love the atmosphere at the games. Third would have to be League.

Well i am in the Aussie rules section so AFL it is..

I hate soccer,i grew up with a father as a ref and a brother playing it all his life,not nice when you are dragged to a soccer match every weekeknd for 15 years,it bores me to tears,and Rugby,well that's for poofs...

League, I just don't like soccer and AFL, it varies with different people though.

there are a number of reasons why afl is simply better.

requires more skill, more people get behind and support the game, the game is more enjoyable then taping a ball with  with you foot and better then throwing backward to go forwards which just doesn't make sense. Afl is more so  team sport that requires more skill!

Aussie Rules is the best, its more exciting and there is more scoring, stats have a bigger bearing in Aussie Rules, so there is more to discuss about each game. Also it is a contact sport which is more exciting than soccer.

Having come from the UK and been an avid soccer and rugby league fan, I can honestly say...

... that even a poor AFL game is better than the vast majority of soccer or league matches.  There is much more to watch, and a greater variety of skills to see.  Unlike soccer where the team that plays better team can still get beaten, or league where its normally fairly obvious who is going to win, a footy game will ebb and flow, with one side getting momentum, then perhaps lose it to for a while, then get it back again. The better side will almost always win on the day, but the man-to-man match up's mean that its not always obvious which will be the better team until the match is actually in progress.  And that's what makes it real edge of the seat stuff.

well i just love AFL - playing it is fun but supporting it is better, i love Collingwood and love going to support them at their matches :)

im not much of a rugby fan though i absolutely love playing soocer! bit of a fan supporting it with Liverpool :)

i would.. classify AFL and soccer as even.
