  1. Yes, I would like to see a movie based on the original Sandman character from DC, Wesley Dodds, who wore an ordinary green business suit and a gas mask and who also used a gas gun. I'd like  the movie to star an unknown or little known actor as the lead, be set just before the fall of France to Germany in World War II, contain no CGI effects, and be plot driven with relatively little action.

I have no expectations for such a movie to be made. You'll see your favorite version of Sandman in a movie long before I would see mine.

  2. If it can be done well and stay true to the original. That is the problem that I have with watchmen is I think they're going to do the same thing that they did with v for vendetta, they will try and make it fit the current climate and in the process lose what makes the comics great. In the movie version of v for vendetta, they made it a bush era piece of c**p and lost all the anarchist / fascist themes that were the reason moore wrote comic. I also think that the creator should need to give them their permission to make the movie, I don't know how neil gaiman would feel about a sandman movie but I know alan moore dosn't want to see any of his works made into movies. But if all these things can be done then I would have no problem seeing a sandman movie.
