Would You look down on a woman who decided to have a child at 48?

Question

She didn't paln on getting pregnant, but she decided to not get an abortion. Her husband is 50, she has 12 and 14 year old daughters, and she is anemic. I am just asking, because this happened to my mom and she got a lot of negative comments, yet Rylan Finn is a healthy 4 month old. Comments?

i wouldnt look down on her it would just be harder for the kid because their mom would be a lot older than normal when theyre like 12 or 13... she doesnt deserve negative comments

my friends mom is 64 and my friend is 14.

i wouldnt look down upon her....id just feel bad for the baby and the parents because its gonna be really hard running around with a baby being 50....and then when the baby is 10 your mom will be like 58 or 59.

Nice of you to be so concerned about your MOM ...You're a good daugther !! So....WHY  NOT ?? I think that a child is always a gift - no matter at  WHAT  age!!! Do not worry about such superficial comments of some ignorant folks...As long as your MOM & the baby is healthy, that's all that matters!!! And with such concerned sisters, the baby is definately in very good & competent hands!!!

I'm surprised everything went OK. 48 certainly isn't the best time for a women to have a baby, and the fact that she is anemic is another feat.

I won't say I would look down upon her, but I would say that knowing that I know about parenting from the classes I've taken, it was an accomplish and foolish at the same time. =)

no but the parents are gonna have a hard time running around after a baby. but my friends dad was 48 when she was born but her mom i think was like 39

You can have kids till the day you die.  As long as your body can handle it then go ahead.  Don't worry about what other people think.
