Would a 16.9 screen be smaller than a 4.3 screen with the same inches?

If there is a tv that's 22 inchs widescreen and a tv thats 22 inchs in 4/3 ratio would the 4/3 ratio screen be bigger?

The first guy is correct but depending the size of the image displayed on the screen may be smaller.  

For example, if you are watching a SD 4:3 program on a widescreen tv the picture will be smaller than that of a CRT tv of the same size.

If however you are watching a television show in 16:9 (HD) the image will be larger on the widscreen tv.

16:9 is widescreen and 4:3 is standard. no

no! the 16/9 ratio is a wide screen format.  the 4/3 ratio is for your more traditional tele's with a lower quality picture
