I was real interested in buying a muscle car when I found my Skylark. It has a 350ci v8 and a two barrel carb. now i am wondering if it would be classified as a muscle car or just a midsize.

  1. It definately has a muscle car "look" (nice lines, agressive stance with the right tires, plenty of power, etc) but in 1971 it would not be considered a muscle car.  I like the look and it could be tricked out just fine!

  2. Buick produced some muscle during the era, but the Skylark wasn't one of the hottest. And a 350 2-bbl does NOT qualify it as a "muscle" car, either. It's just a regular car with a normal V-8. What else ya wanna know?

  3. No muscle car here unless it's a convertable with a 427 ci engine.

  4. that all depends...how much kick does it have?? if u can blow a nova out of the water on the strip or @ the light, then its deffinatly a muscle car.
