  1. A 20g is plenty big for 3 mice. You could have 5 if you want. Keep in mind that female mouse pee has a very strong odor and you will need to change the bedding rather often. I used Carefresh for better absorption.

  2. I have 3 female mice in a 10 gallon tank & they 're as happy as can be so a 20 gallon tank would make them really happy as long as they have places to hide!!

  3. 3 is enough

  4. It is certainly true that female mice tend to get on well even in close quarters, so you could quite easily keep 3 mice in a 20 gal.

But bear in mind bigger cagse are always better. Lower stocking densities (fewer mice per area), more space, more toys etc are all beneficial. Just go for the biggest cage you possibly can - if the best you can do is a 20 gal then that should be okay for 2 or 3 female mice, but no more.

  5. My husband used to raise mice. The 20 gallon tank is plenty big enough for 3 females. Mice don't mind being in close quatrers with each other. Actually they prefer it.
