  6. If we accept that most men will die before they are eighty, then a forty year old is just past mid life.

However, at this age, most men appear younger in mind and body than they did some years ago and so can get more out of their remaining years.

  7. Depends on his health.  If good health, almost.  If bad health, then he's past mid-life, but for an average person, yes.

  13. Midlife crisis, the condition is most common ranging from the ages of 35-50 (a large study in the 1990s found that the average age at onset of a self-described midlife crisis was 46) ......... Mid life crises last about 3-10 years in men and 2-5 years in women ....... hope this helps ....... = )

  14. Nah, 40 is still young...50 is middle...60...OAP...70.....Crikey!..ah, well...

  15. If 30 is the new 20 then you haven't hit mid-life yet.

    You have ten more years!!

  16. Yes, in most industrialized countries.  In some 3rd world countries, though, 40 is about the time you start noticing that there aren't too many people older than you around.

  17. Old age begins at forty for the material body. But we are all eternal spirit by nature. The spirit is eternally the same and does not die when the body dies. So the spirit has been around a lot lot longer than a mere forty years, and will be around a lot longer in one body after another. Take care. GOURANGA GOURANGA GOURANGA

  19. It depends on where you live. Life expectancies are different for every country, based on availability of health assistance, clean water and air, and shelter and good food.

If you're living in the USA, then yes. Technically your "mid-life" would be around 40 years old. People always put it at 50 years though, I imagine in hopes of living to be a proud 100 years old some day.

  20. I think that's the prime of his life!  But I guess so... I mean, men die around 80, right?

  21. I always considered the whole concept of 'middle age' to be a point fifteen years ahead of wherever I was at the time.

  22. 40 is the new 20.

  23. still young..!!!

  24. Did no one tell you- life gets easier after 40--- It's all down hill after that
