that's a tiny little finger!  i think that would be a nice size...maybe even a little big!  i thought i had small fingers...i can't imagine what a 4.5 looks like!  look at maybe a .5 and go from there.

Yes, I think that will be fine.  Mine is a 5 and my ring is .6 carats, I think it is perfect.

I'm a size 8/9 and a 1 carat looked just big enough.  I imagine a .70 will look great on a hand smaller than my own sausage fingers lol.  Alot of it will depend on the design of the ring, for instance marquis cuts look smaller than a round of the same size.

Go to a store and find a similar style.  Try it on and see how you like it.  That's the only way to know for sure.

Yes!  My fiance was planning on buying me a .7 carat, but my finger is 3.5, and the (very honest) jeweler that designed my ring suggested a .6 carat because my fingers are so small.

It looks great!  Perfectly proportioned and not small on my fingers at all!  Because he went down a bit on carat size he saved money so he upgraded the cut and it is the sparkiest diamond I've ever seen :)

sounds good, my finance has about a 7 and i go t her a 1.18 carrot and it looks a hair big, but not obnoxious....keep in mind how you will feel when showing it to friends as well(yes i know thats not the point but we all know it is).  From a guys perspective it makes me feel really good when her friends look at it and are like "wow it looks so big"....

Yes. I used to have a .75 and I wear a size 4. A 1 carat was too big for me.

I think that is the perfect size.  And, as an option, with the smaller size you can upgrade on clarity.

I think it'd look great.  My ring is .50 carat diamond solitaire and my ring finger is size 4 3/4 and it looks great on my hand!  I think a one carat might look too large on such small hands.

duh yes... an engagement ring should be at least 2k ... one if your that poor
