  1. 80cc is a good start but in my opinion you should probablly get a 100cc or 125cc. The 80cc might lose its touch after a while (You'll think the speed is too slow.). If you decide to go with the 100cc or 125cc consider getting a honda xr (It's a good starter bike). Good Luck with your decision. Happy riding.

  2. I think a 80cc would be too small. My first dirt bike was a 2002 Kawasaki kx 65. I got it when i turned 9 or 10.last summer i went dirt biking with my friend and his dad and i rode my friend's dad's Yamaha 225 or 125 (i can't remember) and i fit perfectly. I am thinking of buying a Kawasaki kx 100 and I've sat on 1 before and it fit me. I am maybe an inch taller than you so a Kawasaki kx 100 is a good size but it might be too much power to start with.

  3. get the CRF150 F not the R it will tool around the fields all day .... forget about racing it though....

  4. Yamaha TTR 125 or Honda crf150f great play bikes, and easy to ride.

  5. First of all, an 80 is not too small, cuz I'm 14, 5'6" and 120 lbs. and I race a Yamaha YZ 85, and I will probably race it next year as well.  And seeing that you've never riddin a dirt bike before, you would never want to ride one again if you got on a 125 2-stroke race bike, because it would throw you off the first time you ride it.  If I were you, and if you're only going to ride it at your house, and not race, I would get a four-storke 125 (TTR-125).  It doesn't have much power, but it can get going pretty fast.  If your looking for a bike that you can hit jumps with, I would get an 85, or a KX100, not quite the power of a 125 2-stroke, but it gets it done, for a begginer of your size.

  6. an 80 would be a good size to work from but you will probably need to get a 125 but the problem with getting a 125 now is that learing on a 125 is like learning 3rd grade math in the 1st grade its hard and you don't learn anything

  7. hey man i depends if it is a 2-stroke or 4-stroke. for a bike to learn on a 4-stroke would be better and for the size i think that a 80cc would be a bit small you would be better to go for a 125cc.

  8. Your best bet is to visit a few motorbike shops and sit on a few bikes as if you are only going to be knocking around on the bike for trails you could go with the crf150f, ttr125 or klx125.  You may find them slightly too small though and if you want to do a few jumps an 85cc or a crf150r would then suit better.  Until you are around 5 ft 6 anything bigger than an 85cc or the crf150r is going to be too big for you.
