I have 12 years of work experience. I am a nontraditional student who will be graduating and I am interested in being a financial analyst, would I be qualified? If not, what steps could I take in order to be?

  1. No, but it's a good start. In addition to the BA/MBA, the company you work for will require you to pass your Series 7, but they usually have programs. Get into the company in another position or try to get hired directly into FA training. Either way, the company will pay for you to go to the Series 7 the 1st time (ours does) but if you don't pass, you have to pay to retake it.

  2. Yes it would after you graduate and pass appropriate exams. Consult the Official MBA Guide to find the right MBA program.
