Not meaning to sound offensive, but this is what Siddharta Gautama did. Most women would be pretty mad. But would a Buddhist woman instead feel the opposite since her husband's doing what her role model Siddharta did too?

  1. According to Buddhist history, Gautama Buddha did not leave his home until he had the consent of both his father and his wife, contrary to popular versions of his life. He didn't "abandon" his wife.

  2. Depends on how attached she is to love.
