If the dollar collapses, all imported goods (or goods that are made out of imported goods) - in short, pretty much everything - will get more expensive to Americans.  The rest of the world may have an initial negative shock, but American imports will be relatively cheaper to them, if their currency isn't pegged to the dollar (like so many are).  Also, the price of oil is pegged to the dollar so a dollar collapse would raise oil prices even more -- you'd probably see the price be re-pegged to the Euro (I bet a plan for this is in the works already).
