Would a Dawes 1000/1200 be a good entry level bike?

I'm 5'11" and by a chart I got off www.bikesdirect.com, I need a large size bike, any clues on what size I really need?

The biggest problem with mail-order bikes is that you don't get to try them on for size first. That said, I'll take a Scientific Wild Guess and say that a Large will probably fit. I'm 5'11" and take a 56/57cm frame. BD bikes are fairly good values for those who are willing and able to assemble their own bikes vs needing a shop to do it for them.
