Would a Peanut tree grow in central California?

If so, where can i get one, and what other types of interesting trees grow well here?

Peanuts don't grow on the branches of trees.  They grow underground in the roots.  You have to dig them up just like all other tubers and roots.  As far as being able to grow in CA, if your area isn't presently burning from wildfires, there shouldn't be any problems getting them to grow.  Make sure you plant UN-ROASTED and UNSALTED peanuts.  The cooked ones won't grow.

  3. Peanuts don't grow on trees.  They grow underground on stolons from peanut plants.  The crop is an annual and has to be planted every year.  and you can grow them in California.  Buy unsalted, uncooked peanuts and plant some and watch them grow.
