I have a 120 acre-farm with trails, steep hills, and creeks, yet it also has long stretches of open ridges. I want to move up to a bigger bike, and I know I can handle the Blaster, but will it work with what I do the most? I was also looking at a Honda 400ex.... Please help me in answering what bike would best suite my needs... P.S. Height- 5'5

Weight-110 lbs

(I want performance and to trail ride, if thats at all possible with a Blaster.)

  1. the blaster wouldn't be a bad pick short-term..but let's remember that it is a discontinued bike..todays technology has passed it up. you may want to look at the raptor 350 instead..newer bike, better suspension, you can grow into it for a longer time, and it does have a throttle limit s***w so it won't over-power you. we just got one for my nephew who is not too much bigger than you and he loves it

  2. DON'T GET A BLASTER!!! Everyone I know that has had a blaster has blown it up.  They are not cooled right and blow up very easily.  If you want a trail riding bike I would reccomend going to a Honda TRX 250EX.

  3. For your kind of riding I would actually go to the 300ex. I just sold mine and it ran very well around our land. I used it for much the same purpose as you want to and it had all the power for hills and the four stroke engine made it easy to cruise at low rpms. The 300ex also has very good rider egronomics for your size.

  4. I think the Blaster would work for what you want it to.  I'm kinda partial to the Honda myself.  I would almost suggest going a little bigger - I have a Kawasaki KLR650 that would probably be a ton of fun out there but that and the Honda XLR650 both have such high seat heights you would probably struggle with it.
