Would a air purifier make a room less muggy?

Maybe be cause my room is on the 3rd lever but for some reason everytime i walk into my room its always so muggy feeling. will a air purifier get rid of that?

You need a dehumidifier or a good air conditioner. I can tell by your question you live in the South East.
