Would a book make more or less if...?

it had a young author. say the author was 14. would it make more because of all the pblicity. or less because people wouldn't take it seriously. and im talking teenage girl book not philosophical novel.

  1. idk cuz idk if like others would like to read it but i would like to read a book for teens by teens  


  2. I don't think the author's age matters as long as it's well-written and fits a genre like "Young Adult" or "Children's Lit" (for publishers to make money). There was a Chinese girl featured on Oprah and she was only 14. Another, a Vietnamese little girl of only 7 got published too (she's considered a literary child prodigy).

  3. I have to admit some people would think "Oh, the author is a kid, they don't know how to write", This could change if the reader thought it was brilliant and thought "Oh wow, way better than I though" and then their outlook would be changed
