  1. nope, still deciduous. just considered tropical deciduous.


  2. Yes, in fact it would, because "evergreen tree" is a description of its foliage state, not an indication of taxonomic membership.

    Deciduous refers specifically to a plant that completely loses their foliage for part of the year.
