Would a car rental service charge me for a small ding on the side panel?

im on my rental and some a****** put a ding on the side panel

its not really big but if they notice would i have to pay for that?

Depends, somtimes they notice it and don't worry about it and sometimes they never even notice it (which is more then usual) You will just have to wait and see..

Yep, that's why one ALWAYS needs insurance coverage on a rental vehicle, whether you pay for the CDW with the agency, or carry a non-owned vehicle policy of your own.
