8 years is alot longer then 3... but 3 is relatively still forever. Say the body was at 72 degrees with moderate humidity and the house undisturbed body undiscovered for either 3 years or 8 years... what would be the difference in condition of the body and the condition of the house for each period of time?

  1. Hmm. Unless it's in a sealed room, flies will get to it and the maggots will eat all the flesh in pretty short order. Won't make any difference if it's 3 years or 8. The flesh would be gone within months.

You could always try it with a piece of pork. Make sure it's got some bones.

  2. why? are you trying to do this? lol. but honestly its alittle weird. and it would stink.

  3. The body would be down to a skeletal base in 8 years. In 3 years, depending on the bacteria in the area, the body would be severely decomposed but there may still be some soft tissue left.
