Would a dealer accept my offer?

if i went to a dodge dealer and offered them $35,000 in cash right then and there for the srt8 challenger, would they take it?

dealers dont care about cash right then and there, they make more money when you finance and $35,000 is way to cheap for that car right now anyway.

NEVER, it has a sticker of $41,995 and they have been selling for for at least $5,000 over sticker.  But watch this, 09 will be coming out real soon and why would anyone pay the same money for 08 as an 09.  08 will get a little cheaper but 09 will still sell above MSRP for at least another 3 months.

Not right now.  $35K is about invoice on that car and they are going for over sticker.

Wait a year or so and you might be able to get close to that deal.

You having cash means nothing to a dealer nowadays.  

In fact, most would rather you finance with them because that is how the finance guy makes money

(lender kickbacks based on the deals they make).

They get paid right away from the lender, regardless.

Stick to your guns, though. You never know what might happen.

They would try to meet you half way. They never take the 1st offer because they know they have room to deal.
