Would a fire eel be safe to house in an aquarium with betta fish?

I have a group of about 10 female betta fish (which are living together quite peacefully). I am currently doing research as to whether a fire eel would be able to safely live in the same aquarium without harming my girls. I am anxious to read any advice you can give to me.

I would buy an extra tank and house it alone, or you could test it, but there may be come fatalities.

I wouldn't put a fire eel with your bettas. Fire eels are carnivorous and will probably eat your bettas because it prefers live foods. They also grow to be 24 inches long, so they need a large aquarium.
