Would a ford explorer sport engine fit in my car ?

93 2.3L mustang lx coupe and i was wandering would my ford explorer engine would fit in the car . i think the explorers a 4.0 im pretty sure

the easiest and rewarding is the 2.3 turbo, from SVO's or Turbocoupes 84-88

It will if you take it out of the Explorer first. You'll have to change the motor mounts, some wiring, maybe the ECU, exhaust system, Air Conditioning components possibly. Transmission probably will need to be changed, as well as the transmission mount and/or location. Sounds like too much work to me, but I'm lazy.

It will fit but not without lots of custom work and money.  Why don't you use an engine that actually came with your car.  Put a 302 in there since its going to have more power, it will be cheaper, and far easier to install.
