My two pet rabbits were found dead (with no heads) on the lawn on monday morning. They went missing on saturday night - searched the garden on sunday (it is very secure with no side access) and only found some fur. It is like something out of a horror movie! Anyone have any answers?...

  1. I just had a similar accurance.  I found a decapitated (wild) rabbit in my front yard .  The head was cleanly taken off.  Almost as if it was cut off.  There are several inches of snow on the ground and no signs of struggle, fur etc. only a couple of drops of blood.  I thought this was a sick prank at first but with some online investigation I have come to the conclusion an owl or other large bird of prey is to blame.  They are known to remove and eat only the head.
