Question:

Would a full length bra with a strapless feature ease chronic pain on my shoulders and back?

I have medium figure with large b*****s that cause me constant upper back and shoulder pain that cannot be relieved no matter what regular bra I wear. I have tried all different sizes, and types but have not had any luck. I have seen full length strapless bras with straps as an option, but have been reluctant to buy them for their price. Would they ease the severe chronic pain but still provide support? Has anyone had any luck with them? And if not, can anyone suggest an alternative?

  1. Yes it would help you but you need to document the problems with your dr. You should be able to get insurance to pay for breast reduction surgery if you have told your dr about the problem  repeatedly.

  2. Ouch! Been there, done that.

Painful shoulder grooves are caused by your bra straps supporting all the weight of your b*****s. The majority of breast weight should be supported and held up by the band of the bra. It could be that your bra band size (the number part) is too big. Also look for a bra that has wider straps on the shoulders. They're not real s**y I know, but they'll be more comfortable than the razor thin straps most bras have.

I'm also a 'well endowed' gal and I haven't had the best of luck with strapless bras. They don't provide the much needed support and probably wouldn't help any with the chronic pain.  I've worn painful bras before and usually it's because they're the wrong size.

The website listed below has a wealth of information about how to deal with large b*****s (including health problems caused by large b*****s).

    Good Luck!

  3. No.  Been there tried that.  You need straps to help support them.

If you are overweight working out MAY help, however if you are a healthy weight your only option would be a breast reduction covered by insurance.

I went through it and don't regret it one bit.

  4. I would suggest you get a bra that has wider shoulder straps.  This will help with support.  Also, you should get a bra with four hooks in the back, it will also create more support.  I'm not sure just how big you are, but it will help.
