Would a large bottle made of green glass would be a suitable container in which to grow small plants?

  1. If the colour is not too dark then it can be used.

    Please make sure it is kept in a bright well illuminated spot.

    It is not clear from your question whether you want to grow the plants inside the bottle totally or only to keep the root portion in the bottle.

    In both cases the answer is yes.

    The opaque bottles are not suitable for plants if to be grqwn totally inside.


  2. I think it would make it hard for you to view the plants and hard for the plants to get the full spectrum of energy they need to thrive (including UV).

  3. I don't think it would ideal - it would probably prevent all the different spectrums of light getting through.

    I think clear glass would be better, think of a greenhouse.
