most malls are open , i think only easter and chirstmas day they are closed. at least in ct. they are.

Probably yes.  Most offices that are closed on Federal holidays are:  Federal offices (like mine), banks, schools, libraries, State offices.  Most retailers take advantage of these people being off that day by having Labor Day Sales!

Yes. Lqabor day is a big shopping day because most factories are closed and all government offices.
