Would a man in a maximum security prison like PUPPIES?

Question

Perhaps a Golden Retriever puppy? They're so cute. Would the prisoner think the same thing? Would he let the puppy give him puppy kisses? Or would he use the puppy as a drug mule? Your thoughts will be appreciated.

actually he would. there are a few prisons that actually allow inmates to have dogs in there cells. not as pets but to train the dogs to be use to human contact through programs. many prisons have programs that teach dogs to perform tasks such as seeing eye dogs and dogs for people bound to wheelchairs. so yes i think he would like them.

I agree with Mtn Grl- this question is so oddly worded and useless that it seems like you're yanking our collective chain.

The mere fact that you lump "prisoners" into some kind of separate species is insulting.

Well for God's sake- some NON-prisoners would, some wouldn't. Same as prisoners. You can't throw a blanket over an entire culture like that. Had you said "would all Asian people like sunflowers?" it would have made just as much sense.  Hope you appreciate my thought.

sure .just because you are an inmate doesnt  mean you are a hartless muntant..and why would they use a dog when they have the guards to bring the drugs in for them and besides i woul rather kiss on a cute little puppy than my bunkey .he smelled like boiled hotdog water and feet

It depends on the inmate!!!

But on a serious note, several prisons have canine training for the disabled, which is conducted by a few select inmates.  The inmates train, groom, exercise the dogs in preparation for their new job as a service animal.  

It is a great program.

Whether he would like a puppy or not I don't think the prison would allow it.  Better for him to get a girlfriend.
