Would a nuclear weapon stop a tornado?

I was just curious, heard someone say that at the store and was pondering the credibility of it....

  1. rofl, well it would completely disrupt the wind current causing the tornado so yes, but it would also create a huge radioactive zone and blast radius, cauing tons of destruction.

  3. pretty sure a nuclear blast has more force behind it than a tornado, so yes, it would probably disrupt it.

    but it depends on how close the tornado is to the blast.

  5. Yes, if you do not mind the consequences. A tornado can be stopped or diverted by the Monopole High Voltage Generator but the "scientists" are not interested.

  6. Hmm...I'm not certain. I think the power  and force of the blast might disrupt it, but it would definitely cause more damage than the tornado, heh.
