One dictator could have control over the whole earth and there would be nowhere to escape to.

The only way it'd work is if everyone was able to a) drop their religion b) convert their religion to that of the leader or c) keep their religion and practice wherever they are.

As demonstrated by the success in the United States, mixing ethnicities and religions only causes violence and gang wars. Laws would have to become tighter in order to protect everyones individual freedoms from eachother. The entire world would have to be a heavily regulated police state. Of course, even in this scenario, a police state would have to have those doing the policing heavily monitored to avoid corruption.

I'd imagine corruption would also be high on the governmental level. There'd be a small group of elites with the rest of the world in what would then be called the working poor.

So, based on this. . . would I want a world government? No.

It would be impossible, how would anyone govern both Muslim countries and secular ones.  An impossible task.

Just think of the massive opportunities for local corruption,its bad enough now,look at the power elite in the old communist countries,corruption on a huge scale,just as bad as the west.The only thing that could pull all of mankind together would be an alien threat and even then there would be Renegades ,turncoats and traitors.

Ethics  depend very much on culture. A one world government would fail because we don't have one single world culture, and I am thankful that we don't. This would make the world boring. A single world government would certainly disenfranchise many people. I believe in the exact opposite of a single world government. I tend towards federalism.

Looking back at recent history and assuming that all races would be represented , I think it would be a total disaster , Reasons? i have in the last three years seen the scenes of politicians in Israel mexico Korea Japan in all out punch ups in cabinet , now add that equation to the rest of the world peoples and i think more than fisticuffs would ensue. Worse because of the structured,Caste system of how a one world government operates. Americans couldn't accept to be placed with Proles of society due to lack of world education and social or global knowledge and Oligarchical Collectivism beliefs they all are mentally sheepled into as young children. Americans would argue having to share the doublethink system with other Proles. This would create a Dystopia towards the outer and inner party's of the Caste system of a one world government. So it would never work.

I think worse, the cultural differences alone would make it an impossible task to govern the whole world laws made for the west may make no sense in India for example, the governments of countries know their people, and what they can and cannot do, plus some countries governments are run with the national religion in mind while others are secular, it just wouldnt work!

Worse. It would be impossible to implement. It would force smaller groups of people to be subservient to larger more powerful groups. it would be grossly inefficient.

It's not going to happen. No serious person advocates it.  Why are you worried about it?
