  1. I agree with the first answer...1 oscar needs 75 gallons...

  2. An oscar needs a bigger tank. And its never a good idea to mix a African cichlid together with an American or South American cichlid.

  3. well if they are really young ( like under 5 inches) then yes if bigger then NOT

i have 2 6 inch oscars in 90 gallons and they are there alone

  4. Nope!

Oscars need a minimum tank of 75 gallons

Clown Knife grows really big and a 55 gallon tank would be too small for it. Put in another oscar and you have a really cramped up tank.

  5. A single oscar needs at least a 75 gallon tank, so no, absolutely not.

  6. Just like Ian said, no freaking way.  I don't completely agree with Chaos, but a 75 won't hurt.  A large number of people also think that a 55 will work just as well, and I tend to agree with that.  However, not only is a 55 or 75 if I follow Chaos :P the minimums you really want to have for a solo Oscar, those tank mates are not good choices.  You will have some major competition for food going on in there, as well as aggression among themselves.  A Jack Dempsey is a rule the tank type fish, hence why it got it's name, and isn't what I call a good tank mate for an Oscar.   Ian said all the needs to be said about the CKF

  7. Nope.. tank is too small for three large fish like that and I'm not sure how the rather shy Knife fish will get on with two agressive cichlids, especially in a confined space.

Pesonally I suggest you just get the Jack Dempsey for that size tank.

Note that Clown Knife fish fish can grow to 3 FEET long.

  8. no
