Would a pregnancy test be right since i am on the implant?

hi everyone

i am currently on the implanon implant, would a pregnancy test come out with the right result since i am on the implant or would it just be the wrong result

me and my husband are going to try for a baby at the start of next year anyway so i will be happy if it is a positive result anyway

  2. The implant shouldn't affect the test result, but ask you doctor or family planning nurse just to be sure.

  3. the implant is irrelevent to the pregnancy test.

    birth control is hormones - either or a combination of estrogen and progesterone.

    the pregnancy test detects the presence of beta human chorionic gonadotropin, which is only present if you're really pregnant.

  4. A pregnancy test would be accurate, but you'd need to get the implant removed right away.  Good luck. :)
