  2. I think that would look beautiful - depending on how dark the purple would be and how large your room is...

If you have a smaller room opt for a mid tone purple/eggplant shade.

I would also recommend, if you are looking for a gothic feel, to add some wrought iron sconces (you can find them quite frequently at thrift stores) and add some crushed velvet soft furnishings (bedspread, throw pillows, drapes).

Remember gothis is not necessarily dark, but luxurious, velvety fabrics.  A lot of people make the mistake of making their room very dark and harsh when they attempt the gothic look.

    Good luck.

  3. yes, awesome, i say purple, it's my favorite. best of luck with it, sounds awesome!

  4. It'll match the splattered bird's blood nicely, yes.

from these pictures you can see that these colours are purple and blue so if you want to have black trims and add a bit of wroth iron like a candlelabra , if will be perfect for the look that you want.http://www.oregonlink.com/elsinore/image...

  6. I had a girlfriend that was in love with the colors purple, black and blue. She wanted a room similar to what you are asking about so she painted it a deep purple, with black trim and left her bed spread as a deep blue.

She then hung black and purple see through taffeta curtains and all her furniture was a black wrought iron. I must admit, it looked pretty good! (i was the pessimist too!) She decorated the room with lots of candles and wrought iron mirrors and picture frames.

Careful with your lighting though otherwise it can look like a dungeon. She had down lighting and a really funky fluffy purple lamp that projected a cool purple color through the room.

    Good luck!
