Diamond is heavier than sapphire. Diamond can cut sapphire .But the sapphire can not cut the diamond.

In something as small as a gemstone, cut and shape

would effect your impression of size more than this though.

A Sapphire is roughly 13.3% larger than a diamond of the same weight. “Roughly” because both have impurities.
