  1. That cage is very small - too small for even one pig. It's not even four square feet. Please get a larger cage, and definitely don't keep two guinea pigs in that.

The C&C website recommends at least 7.5 square feet for one or two guinea pigs, but from personal experience, I'd say more is better. My pigs have 15 square feet and would probably be happier with more. Eight square feet really isn't a lot - it's only 2 feet by 4 feet, very easy to squeeze into a corner.

If you don't have enough space to properly house a guinea pig, you shouldn't have one. I'm not being mean - guinea pigs deserve proper care, and confining them to less than 4 square feet is NOT proper care. Animals aren't toys - they have needs that must be met. When you take an animal into your life, you're making a commitment to meet those needs. If you can't, find your pet a better home.

  2. the cage sounds fine for one, but two that might be iffy. You could build a second level if it's tall enough or get a bigger cage if your going to get a second one, but also how often would they be allowed to roam outside of the cage if the cage is only used for sleeping then it night not be so bad.
