  1. It's unlikely.

    Quite a few divers have interacted with Sperm Whales over the years without significant incident.

    Part of it might be that humans are not their native prey. Sperm whales hunt deep in the sea and eat squid. Humans are not at all like squid, we're bony and crunchy and pointy in places.

    Back in the day though when humans were whalers it was very dangerous to try to take down a bull sperm whale, they're big and strong and have a strong will to live and defend themselves. So yes, there were a lot of whalers killed during their hunts but I haven't heard of any recent unprovoked sperm whale attacks.
