  1. 30 is OK but a 40 gallon would be better that is what I have. And since they don't do very much moving around anyways. I put a rock cave on top of the UTH and then a half log on the cold side. I put a water dish (terra cotta planter bottom) on the side in the middle and also have a red heat lamp pointed at the hot side. I use coconut husk bedding.

This is the cage I have

  2. An adult Ball Python should have at least a 50 gallon tank. They need to be able to move around the tank. You should have a heat lamp on one side and a cooling spot on the other side. Too small of a tank will cause the tank to heat up to much. They also need one side of the tank for shelter (a cave, or U shaped log).

  3. i dont think they make any 30gal long aquariums so i am thinking that it is a tall one? you should get a 40gal long, that is best.

  4. A 30 gallon is fine for an adult male ball python, but an adult female would need more room.

  5. A thirty gal. is a good enclosure for an adult.  The minimum recommendation is 20 gals so you are good with 30.  Larger tanks are easier to provide temperature gradients for the snake.
