Would an AWD trans out of an Astro Fit?

Question

I was thinking about buying a buddys All Wheel Drive Astro Van, would that trans fit in a 1990 4x4 chevy 2500 v8??

I doubt it,the astro is a V-6 so the bolt patteren would more then likely not match your V-8. Edit,your best answer will be found by calling any Chevy/GM dealer and asking to speak to a tech,cause i'm not 100% sure,so call them and explain,thats where you'll find your best answer,and even if it does bolt up and match and what not,your V-8 is gonna put a beating on it,due to the fact it's stonger and has more torque then the V-6 from the Astro.

No.  Look at the Astro-van. The engine is a sidewinder.  The K2500 has a V-8.
