lol gold leafs but thanks for all the details! i would never buy it and no im not planning on opening a burger shop that expensive at least not for the time being;) Rolex watch at least the quality and the fact that it will last you for a long time and you can show it off to people if you want;) so i would never compare food to materialistic things its not right because people are dying out of starvation everyday...and for the people who would wanna spend that much money on a burger i would suggest to donate that money!!! but thats just ma opinion!

  1. haha i live in new york and the most i would spend for a hamburger is $20 and even thats expensive

  2. The guy who owns the restaurant said in 6 weeks he's sold all of 15 burgers.

  3. only if it was served with hundred dollar bills

  4. I would never pay that kinda money for a burger but sometimes people like to feel important by spending ungodly amounts of money on things. It makes them feel important.

  5. with all the gas prices going up all the burgers will be for $ 175 so yes i will pay$ 175 ( in my dreams )

  6. I would try it once. I've never eaten a burger with a Kobe beef patty, black truffles, seared foie gras, aged Gruyere cheese, wild mushrooms, and flecks of gold leaf on a brioche bun. It sounds delicious.

Note to vbsb3: It's probably just for looks although it may give it a slight mineral flavor. There's tons of places that will put stuff on a plate that's not meant to be eaten like a humongous bunch of parsley sitting on every plate of diner food, or a rosemary sprig sticking out of your mashed potatoes, or leaves of mint sprouting out of your ice cream dessert.

My chef instructors always called them "nonfunctional garnishes".

  7. noooooooo

  8. First an "average salary" person could not afford to pay $175 for a burger. This burger for sure, is meant of people who have extraordinary salary or are already rich. But as a burger, its hardly a status symbol as compared to a Rolex Watch etc. so even many rich people won't pay, as its not adding any "peristent" value to their status. In short, "Not Really". But do tell us, did you see really see anything like that or are u planning to open a high price burger shop.. haha..

  9. Yes,In the year 2099, It's right up there with gas.

  10. Flecks of gold leaf? Really? There is absolutely no flavor value to that. I guess for the pompous it really doesn't matter.

  11. No, you can make the same thing at home with the same ingredients for half that if not less if you wanted to taste it that badly.
