  1. Possibly, but the repairs you do have to make would be much more expensive.  Batteries alone could cost more than $5,000, and could be required every five years, or more often if not properly maintained/used.

  2. Let me think this through.

I have to replace batteries in my car every three to five years.

Starter motors every six to seven years.

    Altenators about every three years.

    Clutches every ten years.

Internal combustion engines  every fifteen years.

The major repair items are in the parts of my car that they are making electric cars run on full time. Righ now most of those parts are used less the 1% of the time.

The parts that I use less then 1% of the time, cause 90% of my problem. What will happen when I use them 100% of the time?

I will have 100% more problems  with an electric car the way I see it. The only part that I can count on lasting the life of the car they are taking out.

  3. Well yes and no. Of course you eliminate oil changes and filters associated with gas engines, but the I'm sure there are maintenance requirements for the battery. Also, the battery doesn't last forever. I understand they can cost thousands of dollars to replace.

  4. yes it would,   70 years ago and before .... there were electric cars ...but they never caught on because gasoline was inexpensive...and plentiful....if u think about it most of all car repair is engine related.....how may times have you had to have a guy fix your central air blower motor?...just an example to show that electrical motors are far more reliable than internal combustion engines

  5. only time will tell if there less problematic.
