A hot suit is a garment made of electrically conductive fabric that acts like a faraday cage around the body. Linesman wear these when working on power lines from helicopters. A taser penetrates the skin but is the suit conductive enough that the electricity would travel through the suit instead of through the body?

  1. nope

  2. A taser does not have to make contact with your skin to work.  The electrical charge can arc ( jump ) to your skin if it is with in about 1.5 inches of your skin.  It will not work if it is not close enough. Also both probes need to make contact or the circuit will not be complete.
