  1. It's a big city.  was the European City of Culture last year, so it can't be that bad.  great people, great football, good nightlife.  Give it a try for 6 months. Some say it's the real capital of Ireland.

  2. I'd give it a try. Question for me is, do any people in Liverpool want any Americans in their city?

  3. I think I would rather live in Manchester, they have a better football team. Also whenever I think of Liverpool I think of gray skies, even though it is really close to Manchester, oh well. Liverpool probably is a nice place, I have no oppinion because I have never been here so ignore my comment.

    Love from America!

  4. There's the obvious Beatles connection, but even they said that Liverpool was not the most interesting city in England.

They do have one h**l of a football club, though.  I'd live there for a season just to catch the home matches if I could.

  5. That's a good question. I don't think that many Americans know very much about Liverpool. Older people all know the Beatles connection.

= I always thought it was something like South Yorkshire in the movie "The Full Monty". I am surprised to see that it is one of the European Cultural Capitals in 2008.

The world is very obsessed with the tropics. Americans are buying retirement homes all through the Caribbean, Mexico, and Central America.

  6. I live in England.. I can't say I like the country.. mostly 'cause there are a tonne 'hardo' chavs walking the streets just beating people up for no reason and knifing people. I wish they'd all fall into a pit of fire an burn to death.

Even if they didn't exist, the country isn't particularly enjoyable (not where I live anyway. All there is to do is walk 'round the town centre aimlessly trying to kill time or go to the cinema where they charge you £6 to see one film which is absolutely ridiculous, apart from that, there's not much else to do except go swimming.)

I'm out of England, first chance I can get.
